DESCRIPTION:The Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Renewal course provides healthcare providers the opportunity to practise and train in dynamic role-playing situations that mirror real life. You will be introduced to a wide range of life-threatening\, all-hands-on-deck scenarios involving pediatric patients experiencing respiratory emergencies\, shock and cardiopulmonary arrest in which you apply a systematic approach that includes the evaluate-identify-intervene sequence. The goal is to strengthen your ability to recognize\, intervene\, communicate and work effectively as a critical member of a healthcare team. \nREGISTER NOW! \nPRE-REQUISITES \n\nCompleted PALS Pre-course Assessment. Passing score 70%.\nValid PALS Provider course (within the last 24 months).\nValid BLS certification from Heart and Stroke Foundation (completed within the last 12 months).\n\nWHO SHOULD ATTEND? \nHealthcare providers who either direct or participate in the management of respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies and cardiopulmonary arrest in pediatric patients. This includes but is not limited to: physicians\, physician assistants\, registered nurses\, nurse practitioners\, registered respiratory therapists\, dentists\, dental assistants.
