SUMMARY:What next? Relationship-centred approaches for healthcare system redesign to meet the palliative care needs of people living with severe mental illness
DESCRIPTION:This talk draws on an ethnographic study conducted in London\, UK\, examining the role of relationships in palliative and mental healthcare across hospital and community settings. Using qualitative participatory sociocultural methods\, the study involved 154 participants. We co-developed the relationship-centred concepts of “collective social safety\,” “relational reach\,” and “relational glue” to highlight essential elements for effective\, needs-based care. These ideas will be related to the objectives of Sarah’s Churchill Fellowship\, with the audience invited to share their insights on transforming policies\, systems\, and evaluations to better meet the palliative care needs of people living with severe mental illness. \nClick here: https://uvic.zoom.us/j/87481351651#success
