This community of practice will allow you to network and learn from experts across French-speaking Canada who share your interest in the integrated approach to pediatric palliative care. \nThis COP is ideal for health care professionals in pediatric palliative care working in an interdisciplinary approach: physicians\, nurses\, social workers\, pharmacists\, spiritual care providers\, and other professionals with a particular interest in pediatric palliative care. \nMembers of this COP will have the opportunity to gather every two months with a panel of experts in the field to participate in case discussions and explore current topics in pediatric palliative care such as symptom management\, pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches to pain\, and psychosocial and spiritual support\, among others. \nUpcoming sessions include: \nKey nursing skills in Pediatric Palliative Care. SUMMARY:Facilitating equitable access to palliative and end-of-life care for underserved populations (Session 3 of 3)
DESCRIPTION:Registration is open for a series of lively knowledge exchange events seeking to explore the connection of palliative care approaches in the health system and community organizations. The sessions are designed to facilitate connection across the whole continuum of care\, promote knowledge exchange among attendees\, advance the uptake of existing research\, and support future research. \nYou’re invited! \nNo matter what role you play in a patient’s journey with life-limiting illness\, you have valuable information to share\, and we want to hear from you. We invite anybody interested in furthering palliative care delivery and research to join this province-wide event\, including researchers\, healthcare providers\, administrators/leaders\, community organization staff and volunteers*\, patients* and families*\, and policymakers. \n*Some honoraria and expenses are available to patient and community partners overcome any barriers to your attendance.
