SUMMARY:CMA webinar: Indigenous allyship and culturally safe care
DESCRIPTION:The Canadian Medical Association (CMA) is pleased to invite physicians and medical learners to an upcoming virtual session on Indigenous allyship and culturally safe care\, to be held Nov. 25 from 12 to 2 pm ET. \nHosted by CMA President Dr. Joss Reimer and featuring a panel discussion with Dr. Ojistoh Horn\, Dr. Melissa Lem and Dr. Sarah Lespérance\, the session is an opportunity to: \n\nlearn about the CMA’s journey of reconciliation;\ndiscuss the role of Indigenous self-determination in culturally safe and responsive care;\nexplore the concept of relationality and how it can be integrated into patient care and community engagement; and\nidentify opportunities to restore\, build and strengthen relationships with Indigenous communities.\n\nRegister now \nSpaces are limited.
