Colorectal Cancer Canada – Day on the Hill
This March, we March.
We are calling on our entire community to join us on Parliament Hill on March 10 to deliver a single, undeniable message to our legislators: 50 is too late.
While other nations have already lowered the colorectal cancer screening age to 45, Canada is lagging behind. That 5-year gap represents thousands of diagnoses, thousands of families, and thousands of lives.
We are going to Ottawa to close that gap.
THE PLAN: We will gather as one voice with one message: earlier screening saves lives. We will create a “Blue Wave” on the Hill—survivors, caregivers, and supporters standing shoulder-to-shoulder to demand the change our community deserves. To ensure this visual is impossible to ignore, we ask that you please come dressed in blue.
- WHEN: March 10, 2026 at 11:00am
- WHERE: Parliament Hill, Ottawa – Centennial Flame.
- WHY: To lower the screening age to 45.
We will provide the signs and Blue Toques to top off your blue attire and keep you warm; we just need you to bring your voice and your presence. Whether you are walking for yourself, for a loved one, or for the future of healthcare in Canada, your presence sends a powerful signal that politicians cannot ignore.
Let’s make sure they hear us loud and clear.
This March, we March.
With gratitude and determination,
The Colorectal Cancer Canada Team
