Covenant Health Palliative Institute – Annual Palliative Education and Research Day
The Palliative Institute supports the advancement of palliative care knowledge through its annual hosting of the Palliative Education and Research Day, a conference that brings together health care providers, researchers, community leaders and other palliative care experts.
The 34th annual Palliative Education and Research Day is being held online on Monday, October 23, 2023. The theme of this year’s conference will be “Personalized Palliative Care: Caring for People and Communities, Honouring People Where They Are At”.
We are so excited to announce our plenary speaker is Dr. Hsien Seow, Canada Research Chair in Palliative Care and Health System Innovation and a professor in the Department of Oncology at McMaster University. The title of his talk is “Early Palliative Care Through Patient-Family Activation: Lessons from the Waiting Room Revolution”.
